Animal Research

I was commissioned to produce a collection of photos in animal research facilities of the University of Basel. Animal research plays an important role in many research fields of medical and biological sciences. It is central to get a more complete understanding of complex biological processes like in neurobiology, immunology or developmental biology.

My own scientific background and many years of experience as a photographer allow me to feel comfortable and to reliably produce images in delicate and demanding environments.
In addition, this assignment was a special honour for me, as I’ve studied at the Biozentrum of University of Basel, where I also had my first encounters with science communications.
